I would like to learn how to rip LIVE YouTube streams. I am running a modest laptop with an intel apu (1215u).
I tried yt-dlp with a script for trimming but didn't work properly LIVE or my script was just inadequate (checked some forums and citing that my attempt is experimental at the moment for yt-dlp). Any ideas for a proper recording pipeline?

Live streams or concerts with no archive. I could wait for the window of time at the end of the stream and it been set as private, but the duration of said streams tends to be unpredictable and I might not be present. I could use it for small extracts of the stream too

It does but my main need its trimming like in a 10 hour concert stream, record segments of 45 mins to an hour of the artist I am interested in and avoid editing later (splitting I think can be done with ffmpeg, never done it. I understand that webms in here are done that way).
