my previous cable for my headphones broke, and i bought a new one. this new cable works perfectly with every single device i own except my laptop. for some reason it just doesnt send the audio to the headphones, it acts like its plugged in, lists headphones as an audio source, but nothing comes out at all. i thought maybe the jack was broken but it seems to kinda work to the degree that it knows somethings plugged into it at least, i dont have any other cables to test it with though. what should i do in this situation besides waste money on another and hope for the best
