I should also specify that um, I didn't mean specifically only animes about high school girls or high school in general. You can only watch so much before it gets tired and they make up such a huge chunk of what's out there.
I was mainly referring to just very enjoyable, watchable, anime that makes you think wow, this was made by some insanely creatively gifted people and had tons of love put into it, in terms of art style, characters, writing, philosophies, music. Nichijou and Azumanga and Bocchi are clear examples of this but yknow, the high school setting does get old. I guess more masculine shows with masculine leads would be what I'm looking for. Chobits, Berserk, Love Hina. Stuff like that. Anime where the main character is a chad so I can self insert
