I want to do some basic video editing. For example, I have a .mkv of an anime show episode. It is H264 video and AAC 2.0 audio. I want to copy parts of it, rearrange them, and make a new video. Possibly add a music track.
I installed Movie Maker but it won't handle .mkv files. I guess you have to convert to another format first.
Then I tried using avidemux to export mp4 clips to use in Movie Maker, but when I use the subtitle filter in it, they are out of sync and I can't find any information on fixing that online.
