Search for the user's name in DeviantArt search bar for more images from him. If the user has deactivated, the main profile disappears but images from his gallery still remain on the website.

You are right. It's not giving any results.
But surely, the pictures aren't deleted if the user is. They still remain on the website. You can come across them by chance under 'more like this.'

While there are some sites that don't delete image uploads when the uploader's account is deleted (such as tumblr), I'm pretty sure deviantart does in fact delete the images.

There is some Fetisha87 "Rini" in Twitter for she doesn't seem to be the same.

Believe me. I have been using the website for years and you come across the works of deleted accounts under 'more like this' or 'more from this user' on the right hand side of the screen.
It's entirely different thing to really come across this stuff indirectly via related searches. It's next to impossible.
