I want to learn english.
My level is probably B1 tier, and the problem is that I don't know exactly how should I continue from here. I tried recently apps such as duolingo and similar ones and I can indeed learn things, but since its just a small amount of information dosed between things that I already know I don't find it as effective as I think it should be.
I want to maximize the usage of my time and learn english as fast as possible.

What are some tactics to learn english fast?
What should I do to get vocabulary?

Like the other guy said, read a book. It would be easier to look up words in a dictionary that way compared to watching television or movies.

I mean, the good part of reading books is that you're going to find a ton of words which meaning you don't know, and therefore you are going to acquire, with time, (and it is usually boosted with flashcards) vocabulary. I used to do so, and I still do it when reading things.

But isn't there a more direct and fast way? I'm precisely thinking of duolingo, it specifically teachs you the language, it makes you learn words and nothing more.
But as I said, once you have a basis it isn't really good, because you are going to know half of the words displayed by the app, and all of them separed from the beginning to the very end of the course.

I want to learn the language faaast. Help me anon.

There is no best way for everyone. If you really want to learn vocabulary, flashcards might be the best way for you to cram in material quickly assuming you retain the knowledge.

Pick a news website and start reading it daily. Ones that post longer articles and opinion pieces are especially useful.

Actually, find any website that posts articles daily and start reading it.

(Beware of forums and the like because the users in those are often lacking in grammar and/or spelling.)

Alternatively, read books or magazines.

Seriously, reading is the only way you will gain proficiency, and you will need to read a lot.

I'm a non-native speaker and I think I've got better advice than the native speakers, cause I had to actually had to learn it myself ya know. If you want a broader vocabulary: read a book or just search for fancy words in the internet or flip just through a dictionary and pick words you want to remember, write out sentences using those words. If you want to be more grammatically correct, read a grammar book or watch YouTube videos on grammar (I know mine's shit). If you want to be more natural in your sentence structure, less timid in speaking it or better in understanding English when other people are speaking it: watch movies — preferably without the subtitles— or talk to other people in English.

I personally perfected my then base spoken English by watching English movies and shows. One of the best ones in my opinion to learn English is Mystery Science Theater 3000, because there are so many episodes, each one is over 90 minutes long, it's native speaker level, it's fun - the best way to learn a language - and the movies often have completely different plots and contexts, one episode it's a cheap cheesy "horror" monster movie, then next it's a fairy tale... This means you are confronted with all kinds of sentences and contexts in their natural way. The episodes are available online these days.
Other than that I used English channels on Youtube.
And once your spoken English has improved, the written one automatically improves too.

The second most effective way is to listen to English television and movies, especially ones that are in an ordinary life setting like a sitcom. The trick is to get constant audio input from native speakers while they're in a setting that matches what they're talking about. Watching their lip movements can help with pronunciation as well. No subtitles! If you get stumped on the meaning of a particular word and you can't figure it out from context, then go ahead and look up its meaning.

use english whenever you would normally use your native language (to a certain extent, of course), i.e. read the news in english, look up recipes in english, watch english-language films, etc.
english-language forums are also quite helpful
