Yeah, Savage Worlds is similar to DnD, except less crunchy and more fast-paced. It's my go-to system, and I think it suits this sorta series well. Well, well enough I suppose.
Main reason I like it (aside from being an agnostic system meant to have settings adapted to it) is because there's no hitpoints, players and named/important characters are Wild Cards that can take 3 wounds before being incapacitated while mooks go down in one. So combat goes faster in theory.
I've already got imps, hellhounds, whatever the fuck Chaz is, succubi, and just recently sinners, though none is playtested and they're very quick and dirty.
