But that also makes me wonder: Does someone know who the pilot is who was shot down the most times? Quick google search didn't bear any fruit.
On a even more serious note, while the anime puts much emphasize on the sibling relationship between Trude and Chris, none of the three siblings of the real Barkhorn survived to 45. He lost a sister, two brothers and his father. I hope he can appreciate his alternate self still having a cute little sister from heaven.
