I try to adhere to a lot what she does: being accommodating to others and trying to stay hopeful through all things, so maybe I just see a lot of myself in her, which would explain why I get so worked up about seeing her be neglected. Whatever the reason, I have an easier time sympathizing with her than any other character, and the fact that there are so few opportunities for that sympathy to manifest is probably the single biggest point of contention I have with the story. However, everything with this narrative seems to be a slow burn, so I think if we bear it out and stay hopeful, it will eventually lead us somewhere we want. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean that it can’t or won’t.
