That is my explanation for Sheik's personality being different depending on who her vessel is (if she has one).
>It sounds like Zelda magically buried her conscious entirely to avoid being locatedThat is exactly what happened.
>You're saying the magical "disguise" was so powerful it became a separate entity over the course of the seven years?Again, Sheik is not just a "disguise". She is a separate soul. She has always and will always be a separate soul.
>Something a little similar to a wandering tulpaI know you mean no ill will, but someone else had called my Sheik a tulpa before and I got pretty upset because it implies that she isn't her own being. It implies that she is just a part of someone else's subconscious and is not even a real thing. I do not like it when people say that I love Zelda or anything related to her. My Sheik is a different girl and at most shares Zelda's memories and is influenced by a part of her personality.
>Do you feel as if she's truly lost and confused, considering her "birth"?She was give all the information she needed at the time of her creation. They either gave her that information through the magic of the triforce or Impa told her everything right when this happened. I generally believe in the former, but if the latter occurred, she would be lost and confused for a bit. I mean, she is her own girl, getting flooded by memories and feelings from someone else AND some other girl is telling her everything that she needs to do. If that is what happened, she would have a lot of adjusting to do.
>Someone that really just needs a guide to hold her hand and walk her through it allWhile I tend to believe she was created with all the knowledge she needs, this is also possible. I would love to hold her hand through life.
