The degree of devotion to this absurd character alone is astounding enough already, and derives from an entirely coincidental confluence of Japanese and Western otaku and weeb countercultures. The relevance of artoria pendragon currently derives primarily from the franchise association with completely two dimensional, pay-to-play otaku npc flash games that defecate on the memory of what was already a questionably sincere story. You will live to see a day where the world has forgotten this unremarkable franchise let alone the first of its long line of hollow wiafubaits. There will be no secondaries, tertiaries, or quaternaries. There will just be you, and your memories of this plastic cartoon masturbation aid you clung to in the misguided belief that it would protect you from a harsh and unforgiving world.

honestly the anime is short, the first movie does not have anything that can stand out and the second movie is the end of the series, and yet it is the most beautiful experience that an anime has made me feel.
