>>3557787Volume 3 has a fair number of SoL moments in which she was able to take part in fun interactions with her friends. I'm thankful to the author for writing those in. Although I'd always love to see more everyday-life stuff I can't complain much in that area. Those are always some of the most heartwarming scenarios for me.
Only, I wish there was more information regarding the disappearance of her parents and the mystery surrounding them, which was something the author had alluded to in one of his tweets.
>>3558556Possibly by calling an appropriate specialist. That's not her area of expertise.
>>3558559She is most closely associated with cats in-universe, particularly a wild-cat. Mainly due to episode 7 of the anime, which was a different take on trouble 6 of the LN.
>>3558565I don't think she is adverse to it. But she'd probably be a bit embarrassed and think I'm treating her like a kid, even if she were to like it deep down.
>>3558594Possibly a chinese food restaurant.
>>3558599Although Mai does prefer livelier places with lots of people as opposed to completely desolate ones, I don't think she'd want to spend time watching people when there is no purpose to it.
>>3558605I was able to relate to her in many ways and I genuinely thought we would be capable of establishing a connection given the right circumstances. It wasn't just a matter of feeling a strong, pleasant feeling of warmth in my chest whenever I looked and thought of her, though that's obviously part of the reason.
We had the same sense of purpose that drives us to achieve what can be said to be very similar goals, and our differences were such that I knew they could bring us even closer together.
That's why I was able to empathize with her unlike any other character I could be said to have liked and it made me wish I had her, and only her in my life forever.
