When i tried to push her hard (for her own good of course) she did end up as a Mad Scientist and my wife.
To make her great at something you need to give her no rest at all and no smallest slack or entertainment. I'm not a slavedriver or sport trainer. I'd never try to make something out of Rei or anyone, I'd try and hel her be herself.
Also I think that the game is lacking one important feature: unsocial love status.
When Rei is unsocial but actually likes you she will be cold and harsh to you
>*Rei zoomed out*>*put a hand on her shoulder, or stare, or say hello*>You get "DON'T TOUCH ME" or "WHAT YOU NEED", "LEAVE ME ALONE"But when Rei is in LOVE with you you always get sweet blushing shy Rei "I love it when you hold me like this". LOVE status forces "unsocial" status out.
I wish I could have her ehm.. err. how to sayi it.. cold warmth, that care and kindness of Rei 2 from NGE. When she's still unsocial but tries to be nice to you and does it in her very own way.
