Again, like mentioned in 1&2, these points aren't worth debating and they are to be considered disproved. There's nothing concrete here, and concrete is what matters.

The audience would agree with me because I've laid before them the facts and you've given them nothing. Especially since they won't go ahead and fanwank either.

Picking up a music player or being close to one does not define a character. Kaworu picks up the SDAT as well, as does Shinji and others. It's simply an item. A character is an entirely different thing. The act of picking up a SDAT, or not picking it up, does not define whether or not Rei Q is Rei.

Having a mental link with another person doesn't mean you're Rei either. It simply means you have a mental link or that you picked up a music player. In the same way, none of your plot points actually matter. You can't ignore that Rei is explained to still be inside EVA01, which is in itself proof that Rei is not Rei Q. It means nothing more than Rei Q looking exactly like Rei - you might as well argue that Yui is Rei.

The answer is damned simple. Only Rei is Rei. Not a clone, not some soulless imitation, only Rei with Rei's soul. On a broader level, as Rei Q is made to mock Rei, she will never be Rei.

Following with summary and further topics:

Picking up a SDAT / Being able to telepathically communicate is completely irrelevant because whether or not they are true has no bearing on whether or not Rei Q is Rei.

Here's what matters:

- It's the same person/individual as Rei Ayanami, they are the same character. A copy would still be a similar but separate entity.
- The character is from start to end consistent and has it's own development that is tied well together.
- The character is an actual character and not an attempt to mock an existing character. In our case, Rei Q exists to sabotage Rei Ayanami and can therefore never be Rei regardless of what anyone says.

Rebuild has been permanently soiled and can no longer carry genuinely good characters, only pandering in either direction. Speculation such as the following:
- Rei isn't in EVA01, but she is secretly Rei Q
- Rei will merge with Rei Q somehow
- Rei will return in the next sequel

is completely pointless and only makes the situation worse. Rei in general has become a mockery of the original, as Rei is now ranked down to just a mother-clone along with her retarded sister Rei Q. There never was any "character" in Rei that could actually continue past being a narrative device to strike down on Rei and Rei fans.

Correcting this while also making great characters and a believable story that is more than pandering has been impossible for more than four years now, if not even longer.

Citation needed.

Everything concerning soul fragments ruin and parts is unofficial circlejerk.
In NGE EVA lore clones and artificial creation are inanimate like Reiclones in the tank.
I like to think souls dont split.

I like to think that Rei 1 was an inanimate object, until was animated with Lilith soul (which is the reason Lilith was virtually dead) and then she was respawning with memory loss.

The only thing I'm not entirely sure is whether or not Rei 3 had all the memories of Rei 2.

Also that's actually not a half bad theory on Q, although the question on how Q's """personality""" exists. Either way it would be the most fitting and respectful way to handle Q's character.

So I tried Ayanami Raising Project. The premise is like the most inappropriate thing ever, you grt appointed as a child's guardian and you groom them into your waifu. That's some Super Lovers shit. Not that I mind.
But the real problem is, I have the same problem I experience when I try to play an RPG: I get stuck in the character creation hell. I can't decide how to correctly minmax my stats and just get paralyzed, give up and don't play the game. In this game you decide on doing various activities with Rei and it raises her stats, I assume the amount of days you have is limited.
Also to increase her vocabulary you can teach her words (type in a word, pick what is it and how do you feel about it). I'm not sure if I'm supposed to write in Japanese, English (Russian?) and if it even affects anything. I tried writing "Gundam" and telling her it's anime and I like it. I wonder how many words in a row you can do, maybe I can just do 100 and raise it to the max in one day.

Let me start by saying that Ayanami Rei isn’t even really a person. She’s a monstrosity made out Yui Ikari’s DNA. The connection between her and Shinji Ikari comes from Shinji being interested to her smell because it reminds him of his mother and the fact that his father is giving her positive attention instead of him. Her personality type in the original anime was a response to the love of typical emotionless and submissive anime girls, and why something like that wouldn’t work in real life. Both the manga and the movie versions replaced that with Shinji straight-up warming her up and making her more human than either her, her in-show clones, or the thousands of direct copies of her in other popular anime.

Rei is by far one of the worst girls in the show, maybe even just in anime altogether, because that was the point of the character. She’s the choice of people who want to escape from human interaction and want a pet to mold however they see fit.

That's it m8. IMG_Anon / Katawa went batshit insane and called me "soulshitter" for debating the same thing, even though I only did it for half a thread and then havent' touched it since. Then he went on a shitposting spree since then.

He even made crazy theories that I was Qshitter (AKA QuarterSoul) , even though I'm openly challenging the guy. My recommendation is to ignore IMG_ANON / Katawa.

It's inherent in the way they've chosen to structure and organize they wiki, and how they discuss Rei. Notice that they don't give Rei the respect an individual deserves.

Contrast this with Asuka, who they make TWO articles for:

Well, based on various things it's reasonable that you may be the same. The same writing style, the same outrage, and let's not deny it, IMG_Anon was advocating raids, and so were you through your reddit accounts and other calls for raids.

IMG_Anon has been a pest in these threads to the point where one might suspect he's not a Rei fan at all, at least I wish that were the case - much like I wish you aren't IMG_Anon.

He's anything but nice. I saw, before this crap even started, people actually begging him to calm down and take it easy, because he's among friends and all. But he didn't want to be a friend or even discuss politely much less honestly, so in my eyes? He's actually worse than QShitter AKA QuarterSoul.

Say what you want about that idiot, but he's got more sense in his head than IMG_Anon, and I only pray that the ban he got was permanent. He's not a good Reifag for various reasons pointed out by people earlier in this thread.

Actually I just made all that unbearable havoc and then went on IRC to Scuzzy like "Dude just fucking do it and everyone will be happy as fuck" it worked.

Well he's not nice at all.
But he's a good guy at heart, just crazy as fuck, but he wants to make it better, he just is doing it wrong.

I cant stand his shit but i cant hate him.

I personally fancy my idea of no soul fragments and Q being a dummy plug zombie. Which reduces her to an object and doesnt stain Rei's character with her stupidity.

Although i do think that they might resurrect Rei through Q and it will be a bad thing because they will play her character stupid and pathetic in a degrading manner.

Or they will make Rei into a final boss that the Shinji will have to beat to save the world to further demonize her and just spite everyone while denying her any screentime as a character.

I'm notsure which is worse but i'm certain it's gonna be bad either way.
