>>2916214It would be weird if Lain actually wore it but as a virtual avatar I think it's nice. The strange hair color, older appearance and strange outfit are exactly the kind of thing a girl Lain's age would use to express herself online.
I know I might get some hate for this but I like it more than what they did with all the bear stuff in the anime as Lain's "escapism". The bear motiv always felt out of place to me, I don't feel like it matches Lain in a symbolic sense like a virtual avatar or the later alien symbolism did.
