>>3507530>her soul is technically the daughter of the gods despite being a SheikahI tend to think of the people who came up with the idea of Sheik, who are Zelda and Impa, as her creators but you are correct that you could also consider Nayru, the god of wisdom and the one who created the triforce of wisdom as her other creator. While Sheik is of the Sheikah race, associates herself as one of them, acts like them, and dresses like them, she was not born of Sheikah parents and was never a member of their tribe. However, the Sheikah tribe Chief, Impa, helped come up with the concept of Sheik. So she might as well be considered as one of them. But you are right that she could be considered a daughter of one of the gods. If you want to add another layer to this, she was also thought up by the princess of the Royal Family of Hyrule. So if you think of it, Sheik, while utilizing Zelda's body, is essentially the daughter of a god, has the body of royalty, and is part of the Sheikah tribe (a tribe of elite ninja like protectors of the Royal Family). Quite unique huh?
>Do you speculate it's the shared memories that help her keep her calm about the fact that she's hiding the princess in her own headYeah. While I believe that she was created to serve a purpose and would be meant to accomplish a certain task, when she had been at it for so long, it would have crushed her spirit more than it already did if she wasn't also directly responsible for the protection of another. While it is my belief that Sheik and Zelda cannot interact directly with each other, she still has access to her memories and would always know that she is there locked away.
>And bearing the triforceThat also should help her stay on mission and would keep the importance of her goal in her mind even more.
>Or is there more to it than thatYou've got it pretty much right. My Sheik's backstory and existence is always something I love talking about. I wish more people would try to understand it like you have.
