Reconciling that inner conflict is exactly the kind of development I keep saying would be great to see. They're pretty antagonistic with each other in-game, though, so I think there's definitely some mutual animosity. After all, Widow still did something pretty dang terrible that meant bad things for Lena's home, and she seems like the type who would want to have her answer for it purely on principle even if she didn't have a personal investment. In a cast of over two dozen, you can have more than one serious hero/villain rivalry. I think Jack and Gabe get more attention because people are just more conditioned to take men seriously as enemies because female adversaries are traditionally played for titillation. I get enough of that nonsense from fan art, so I hope this series bucks that trend and takes it seriously. Whatever the case, I think ignoring it entirely just does her a disservice, and on the day it pays off - should it ever - I will breathe a hefty sigh of relief.
