>>3940266If Homura had her skills, confidence, and knowledge from the timeline when we first are introduced to her character? I could see her becoming a chemist like

Unless we're dealing with a scenario where she can clean her soul gem with baking powder (some slice of life spinoff featured that), or she has somehow stockpiled grief seeds, I don't see her wanting to use her abilities to make money. The magical energy expenditure and exposure risk of her (and, to some degree by extension, Madoka) to unsavory elements would make arms smuggling, etc, undesirable. I could see her once, in another country, doing one "big score" of an arms sale, and then using the money from that big sale to effectively retire, but anything more than that would seem like too much risk for a lifestyle we haven't seen Homura really gravitate towards in canon. She lives a very functional, utilitarian and spartan existence; taking on lots of risk and strain to make tons and tons of money isn't something Homura would be interested in.
