>>3293161I'm sorry you feel that way, anon. I try to be constructive in these threads, so please know that I'm trying to help and in no way attempting to bring you or anyone else down. And yes, we can both agree that Moira is worse, but to be fair, that's like saying "This is preferable to having a hot iron strapped to my groin." I know you didn't want to touch on the subject of Emily, but I feel like I need to point out that–whatever your opinion of her might be–Blizzard themselves clearly intend to present their relationship as a good thing, so they -have- given Lena a fairly happy life, even if it's mostly domestic and hasn't manifested in her field of work for a while (I reiterate you can say that about most characters; Ana hasn't done anything for years and remains estranged from her daughter, and Genji may have gotten better, he's still on very harsh terms with his brother despite reaching out to him, and he hasn't done much outside of flashbacks since).
The entire narrative is basically a fustercluck of dysfunction and unresolved threads right now, so what you might call "optimism" is really just me taking the stance of "I'm not going to pass judgment or jump to conclusions until I actually see what happens." I'm also frustrated with how the character who is consistently presented as kind, likable, committed and helpful always seems to get put through the wringer for it; I know it's hard to be hopeful, but I don't think the right response is to assume the worst-case scenario is inevitable. Even in her current circumstances, she's still managed more of a presence than Lucio, Pharah, Symmetra and several others (and I am by no means putting them down for it; I specifically mention them because I -also- like them very much and wish they would get more attention); she also has a ton of merchandise and is literally on the cover, so I doubt she's going anywhere. I hope that helps you in some way and that you sleep well soon; I don't want anyone to be unhappy.
