My guess is that the "ReiQ" fag is primarily either a fan of Asuka or Kaworu, which is why he/she needs to defend Rei Q and Q's existence.
Hideaki Anno has throughout his entire post-NGE career assaulted Rei through interview, rewrites and design choices whilst showering praise upon other characters. This also extends to the fans.
How then Rei Q would not be yet another insult in an already long line of insults spanning almost twenty years is beyond me. For Hideaki Anno to make up for that streak of hatred, he would literally have to equally attack all the other characters with twenty years interest while also providing Rei with the same benefits the rest has had over the years.
Here's to a hundred threads of Rei: in spite of haters and sycophants, we got there.
