She's a young girl who's been horrifically abused and has become emotionally stunted and unstable as a result. She was never shown real love and therefore doesn't know how to express it properly herself.
If the main story itself didn't imply it enough, it's explicitly shown in Redial that when she's in a stable, loving, caring environment, she's really a sweet gentle girl who just wants a normal life and happy ending.
She absolutely deserves love and I will give her all of mine and then some.
