Honestly though - most people tend to assume it's some big lifelong devotion of mine (well, the threads if anything) but it really only takes about five minutes of my time to post - and make sure they aren't pruned. I usually spend 15-30 minutes making an OP image, but that's the extent of it.
It really started because the manga was still ongoing, and occasionally scans would get posted. Then the third thread almost got bumped off, and I kind of just kept making them since I really enjoyed the community and the content - remember K-ON! Tuesdays?
Eventually, I just kept going and people kept posting, and it reached a point where we had so many consecutive threads that it would have been kind of a shame to just let them die off.
Sure, there's no real plan for the future of these threads, and nobody has asked me to stop making them. As it is, they're so easy to maintain that I have no real reason to end them, so I haven't. Perhaps because they've become less about Mugi and more about maintaining a great little community on a great little board.
At it's core, /c/ is close-knit, civil, and full of genuinely good people.
Not to come off as pretentious, but I always like to think that the Mugi threads kind of embody the aspects of what makes /c/ one of the better boards on this site.
But what do I know, I'm just a tripfag.
