>>2230802Well, this is a new kind of sadness. There wasn't much K-On merchandise at the convention in general, and most of it was Yui, some Mio, a little bit of Mugi and Azusa, and almost no Ritsu stuff at all. Most of the few Ritsu items I did find were things I had already bought before. The only item I managed to find that I didn't already have was pic related, which I picked up for $15 - A little bit pricey, but it usually goes for 800 yen on Mandarake for brand new, and with shipping it hits about $15 anyways.
To be honest, I think the main thing is that I've already bought most of the Ritsu figure merchandise available. With this maid figure, I think I have most or all of the prize figures besides the Beach Queens Ritsu. I still need the two other statues besides the Don't Say Lazy one, and I'm sure there's plenty of chibi figures out there that are rare as all get out, but, in general, most of what I'd be able to find being sold, I already have.
Maybe, once I have my STEM degrees and I'm making lots of money with no wife or kids to drain it away, I can spend thousands of dollars of disposable income on commissioning new Ritsu figures from people. Otherwise, I don't see any way to get much more than what I already have.
Altogether a fun con, if anybody cares. Only saw a single Yui cosplayer, a single Mio cosplayer, and a single Azunyan cosplayer. No Ritsu or Mugi cosplayers, which is probably for the better since most Ritsu cosplayers are far too 3DPD to look any good.
Also, good job on
