A 3rd season was being considered after the movie, but they ultimately decided to do Tamako Market, for years it seemed like it was dropped due to a friction between the authors and the studio but now as we are approaching the 10th anniversary the authors come back and staff from Kyoani draw an illustration, Minako Kotobuki and Toyosaki Aki went on hiatus from Sphere last year until 2019 for Sphere's 10th anniversary.
Rejoice, there is faint hope for a third season.
