It's not as complicated as that.Literally no one cared on /a/ until /a/ decided to have all these changes. No one cared about waifu threads here as well until the threads fell into shitposting. It didn't seem like much people would mind waifu thread on /jp/ before it was overtaken by shitposting.
As long as we don't cause much problems and reports, no one really cares for a thread like this.
