would it theoretically be possible to design/model a suit in Marvelous Designer (with a character's mesh imported), bring that into Blender and texture it/texture it in Substance Painter, and export it as a mod?
or would it be easiest to just do everything inside of Blender?

Where do I even begin. Let's start with the "Images and videos" pastebin. The first mega link contains a bunch of empty folders. EVERY imgur gallery is dead which comprises about half the links in that pastebin. Tons of the blogs and resouces included haven't been updated in years. There are fucking Gamefaqs thread links that just link to other Imgur links which are dead.

Next, the VV Mod Manager link is out of date.

And finally, literally everything besides the mod author twitter and the Mega repo is out of date and totally irrelevant with regard to GS/BP.

I'm not a rabid stickler for updating the thread copypasta EVERY SINGLE TIME a new thread needs to be made, but it's just ridiculously out of date now to the point where there's no point to even have it if it isn't updated.

I'm no pro whatsoever but I would suggest turning down the bloom (assuming you have a filter for that turned on) or darkening your whites a bit. Also try toning down your greens and blues a tad, and bump your reds up. And yeah, contrast could probably be lowered some as well.

There's two ways to rotate a JPG:
1. Adding an EXIF rotation tag
2. Actually modifying the image data itself

A lot of software (such as your phone's camera software, or the Windows image rotation function) will simply do the former, as it doesn't require rewriting the image data and avoids a small quality loss due to JPG re-compression.
However, EXIF data can also contain things like geographical coordinates, so 4chan intentionally strips all EXIF tags from images when uploaded (Except on /p/, the Photography board). This includes EXIF rotation tags.
Therefore, to rotate an image on 4chan, you have to actually modify the image data before uploading.

That skin may be good, but I don't think it works properly with the BP boobs CC. It has visible seams on the arms and stomach when I tried it.
So if that anon cares about that he should test it out himself.

Which is unfortunate since it's my favorite Amy skin.
Monkers also has a decent maroskin I cannot use because apparently it needs a face texture mod too. It's hard being a fluff appreciator sometimes.

I have the 1.0 release from that Maasim post in the bp thread, and latest CC (unless the Shizuku update released when I wasn't looking).
I read some comments about how there was .ini skin problems with CC but those got resolved on the latest update.
The bug disappears when I swap from maroskin to hi-metal tho. So it must be the skin no?

You saying you have working bp marsokin Amy with no seams on shoulders? Did you download some extra files or something?
Like that separate BP Skins 1.0.1 that predates the 1.0 release and would assumingly be included in the 1.0 release.

Monkers skin looks bretty good.
As a side note unrelated to the new skin file her skin goes black at certain angles on certain stages if you zoom the camera in. Pic related is the default studio set backdrop. Only happens when CC is in the folder and she's wearing any costume that has a mod, which is worrying.

Don't have Amy unlocked yet so I can't test it properly. Need to find another guest with a Takao Amy. But if the Monica skin is any sign then I'm sure it will also be nice looking.

Ah, I guess he photoshops it afterwards, couldn't find any settings in Reshade to smooth the skin like a filter.

I completely removed CC and relaunched the game, and the problem disappears.
She can be wearing a modded outfit for an SR or whatever and the skin will work, but once you add CC to the costume folder again the skin will start to mess up again.

In the past it was explained to me that this was a conflict between mods that had a certain shader file in their folders. One of these mods was Ceez's DAFF swap packs and once you removed the DAFF pack it would go back to normal.
Whatever affected the DAFF pack back then now appears to be affecting CC.

I do, but already tried removing everything except for CC and the basic bikini removal mod.
Basic bikini alone causes no problems. Adding CC makes basic bikini give out problems. And this was with a fresh CC install.
Oh well.

The anniversary for English servers was back at the start of October with the bunnysuits. That was the 4th, and the two game versions dont share anniversary banners. Though sometimes the QoL that gets introduced on JP first gets fast tracked to ENG.

It's hard to say. Pic related is my team. I never use Lobelia so she has shit passives.
Tamaki is my main so she has two SSR accessories and good passives on them.
Neither girl have leveled up bromides but they're all STR related. (might swap to STM though)

What contributes to stats? I leveled the suit for Momiji up to 90 since I used her a lot more (she's level 52) but her STR is barely 70 points higher they all have the accessories too

Girls have innate bias towards one stat. So STR/TEC/STM will grow higher as they level than the other two stats, but it's not a huge difference. That stat gets added on top of the suit's stats.
Momiji and Lobelia aren't that different in level and I take it that neither has any EX lotions on them?
So all they really have going for them is the trendy bonus I reckon.

EX lotions are where the real boost to STR/TEC/STM come from since they're % based and get stronger as the girls level. That's how you see people pushing 10k stats native without any trendies.

They drop from pool hopping meaning it's completely random when you get one. Your best odds would be to spend 32k v-stones on extra wheels and try to rush the EX courses.
Maybe you'll get 2-3 that way.

Also the STM lotion is kinda useless. STR/TEC are the good ones.
Girls can equip 3 EX lotions, however 3 EX lotions can be combined into a single EX+ lotion which offers a bigger % boost (10% to 15%).
That's giga meta and whale territory however. 3 basic EX lotions are the real thing to strive for.

You cleanse with cleanse milk first.
EX lotions also can't be removed with the free cleanse milk. You need a special EX remover milk to turn the skill back into a bottle for you.

SS+ for your case.
Anything above SS+ has similar Stamina to EXP ratio. The difference is SSS burns stamina 33%% faster,
If you can win SS+ 100%, you need to win at least 75% SSS for that to be better.

Looks good. I tend to edit with highly saturated colors though. You'll find a lot of people have lots of differing opinions on the matter, it's all about taste and preference.

General rule of thumb is that if you stick with what you're content with, you can't go wrong, and if this was actually the original >>2818959 it seems like you do have an eye for it and you've got nothing to worry about.

Looks like they've added a small QoL feature in photo mode. There's a hotkey to cycle through the different time periods (morning, noon, sunset, night etc.) for any outdoor location.

The other aspect of oil is that it stays applied as you move between screens. Kinda wish it was a setting in the outfit screen because you can only really apply it to your home girl, and I'd prefer my entire venus harem running around oiled up. Not that anyone here cares about this aspect.

I'd definitely say don't mess with the hues (rgb) unless you have a color-accurate monitor, otherwise you'll be trying to edit colors you can't even see correctly.

e.g. - the monitor here represents the reds ok, but compared to the sRGB calibration standards, it doesn't represent the blues or the greens quite right. So if you try to edit the colors to look the way you want on this monitor, the blues will be a little desaturated if you're not keeping in mind your monitor's bias, and you won't be able to edit the greens correctly at all since it doesn't display some of that range.

I don't really see it as that. To me, it generates images no differently than how our brains picture images in our mind.
Yeah it can be trained on and pulls from existing art when considering your prompt but that's something humans have already done for centuries

I understand the argument. It is true that "all creative work is derivative". And maybe this is just me being old and unwilling to accept that there's no difference between AI being trained on something and people developing fundamental skills by copying their favorite artists, but I feel like there's a fundamental difference between the way I learned guitar and bass by playing my favorite bands' songs until I was good enough to write my own stuff, and the way people churn images into an AI until it can proficiently imitate them.

Both are derivatives at the core, but there's a question of whether someone working for years to develop those derivative skills distinguishes what they make as original work. It's a question of whether having an AI do that work for you holds the same artistic merit.

And maybe it does.

There's lots of talented ghost writers and producers in the music industry right now. Two of the top music groups in Japan right now are former vocaloid artists. It's not unrealistic to say someone using AI vocals could top charts over the people they trained the AI voice on.

Maybe 70 years after Kanyes death people can start doing that freely - assuming no new laws are established by then.

They deserve it more than some pretty face who can barely sing, doesn't write their own music, doesn't write their own lyrics - getting all the attention and money. It's trained using hundreds of thousands of different sources. Who are you going to sue for selling some random generic AI porn? There's nothing you can claim is stolen from you or anyone else.

If you further train a lora to replicate an artists particular style that's a different story - which as mentioned already Japan already has new laws against. This is where Kanye's example falls under, if it is obviously Kanye's voice then it is not ok, if anyone can pinpoint where you sampled from and you are obviously making work that emulates another artists - essentially riding off their fame and hard work, that is clearly not ok - both morally and legally.

Let's make another example, you're a writer and you've read tens of thousands of books in your life - you write your book based on influence from all of those other books. This is considered fine. On the other hand you've read one particular authors books, tens of thousands of times, and it's completely ingrained into you and your writing style and the book you write turns out so similar to this other authors that people call it out for plagiarism. This is not fine.

DoA needs to update their dances. Even with the dance itself being less than 15sec it was more enticing than whatever was featured in X2/3/Paradise.

Also DoA Paradise is an extremely lazy port. Kurohyo looks amazing on an actual PSP.

baby steps anon, if you're still new to blender and specifically VV modding, I'd recommend starting slow, maybe edit an existing suit or port a single outfit piece into CC. I've used MD and it's great but you actually have to start learning how actual clothes are made and that's a whole other rabbit hole you'd have to go down into. Unless you're experienced with both softwares, in which case disregard.

I technically have about a year of experience in Blender. I don't really make anything but I have a fairly intermediate level of knowledge of the tools but only basic knowledge of modelling techniques.
I've tried costume modding way back in the past but had little luck.
I was able to do everything fine up until mesh editing but I also didn't know Blender at all back then so maybe I should just follow that video again.

not to discourage you, but VV modding is its own beast. I had a good knowledge of blender coming in and still took me a few tries to even be able to get a single model swapped in game. Very arcane and highly specific settings and parameters needed for meshes to import properly. It's obvious once you learn it, but there isn't really a good place TO learn. Darkstarsword's video on youtube covers a lot of the basic swap process, but outside of that you'd be relying on asking around forum and such for tips.

Personally prefer Nyo's makeup suit more. Her recent one feels like it came out of a MMORPG and I need to see the rest of this batch of suits before making a final opinion.

I do like the "less is more" approach. I prefer it more if they leaned into the character's traits with the suits rather than making it fancy dresses. Kokoro/Koharu looks great with the traditional yukata look and Ayane/Tamaki can pull off the cool vibes.

Time to do a single roll for the special episodes and not fall into the temptation of trying to get the suit legit.

It's available as a CC option as a reminder. One of Ceez's CC iirc, which you can get from kemono, but I bet other modders also made one.

Right, single roll unlocks that branch in her venus board.

Though as someone who has that suit, having the additional layers turn off will cause her to fidget and try to cover up and that cute embarrassment is (slightly) worth it.

I intend to never spend any money on VV so it sucks that I'll never get the power creep suits and some of them, like Misaki's True Colors suit, look really good
Guess I should start modding instead of just lurking these threads. Then maybe I won't feel so bad when my rolls sucks for suits like the Christmas Noel Charmant suit
