So you click on an empty texture slot and it lets you import your own texture. Then this little controller box comes up. You click on it and a drop down appears. You can add tile variations (frames) and mess around with the scale and move controllers for each frame and the texture animates. I'm not really sure how the texture tiling works, the controls seem kind of finicky but yeah.
I think you want to work at 100% zoom to get an accurate look at how the texture will look when it renders.
