pros:
-often less maintenance
-not as affected by weather and dirt since there is no external mechanism
-can shift while stopped
-chains last longer because they're always running straight
-no der or hanger to get damaged
In my opinion, derailleurs and IGH both have their pros and cons and neither is the best for every person or every situation.
