Can we have a running shoes thread on /out/? I need a new pair for myself and my girlfriend and would love suggestions. It's been years since I paid attention to shoes.

Pic related is close to what I have now, they have lasted me six years. 3 of taking regular runs, and 3 of everyday wear after that nut they've practically fallen apart now. But even today the soles of these shoes still feel like super supportive pillows, especially in heel. Super lightweight too.

But, I don't want to give any money to Nike anymore so, what else would you all recommend, both for male and female?

My job and other responsibilities has left little time for/out/ activities the past three years and I'm a bit out of shape now, so I need to start going for runs again.
