Bare minimums of camping

No.1740146 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
What is the least amount of gear you anons would carry for an overnight camp on a nice day? With greater attention to minimizing volume rather than weight.

I want to do some trail running with my daypack thats about the size of pic related, and since i have no intention on using my 55L trail running, I'll have to cut back. I'm thinking of the following
>a water bottle in the side pouch
>my hammock (smaller than a watter bottle)
>a small flece flece blanket (definitely the largest thing ill carry)
>a black plastic trashbag or contactor bag cut to a rectangle (in place of a bulky tarp) in case it rains , along with some guy line or fishing line)
>one small mess kit pot, inside it i put rice and oatmeal in baggies, and my fire starting stuff
>my swiss army knife or leatherman
>some kind of small tool to dig a dakota fire pit
What else would you add or subtract anons?
