Hey /out/

I live in Denver and I need to clear my head with a long hike. Can anyone give me trail suggestions? I'm willing to drive up to 2 hours, and would like to see running water where I can sit and meditate for a bit at. I drive a chevy cobalt so if we can keep the steep drives to a limit thatd be great too. There are so many people at every trail that I need somewhere secluded to get away from everything. Thanks in advance to your suggestions

Try a 14er in clear creek county, I forget the name but not the one that just got renamed. Grays peak was excellent as well.

I missed that last part. 14ers are obviously not secluded. Iv heard 13ers don't get crazy traffic. Most people wouldn't share their most secluded spots to get away on the Internet. And the majority of trails have a lot of people so it's almost impossible to avoid. Best thing to do imo is download all trails app and look around.
Bear peak is easy to get to if you ever want to visit boulder and parts of that area are not heavily travelled. I only ran into a few people at mt Audubon.

And if you read that and didn't have that lightbulb "a-ha" moment then let me spoonfeed you even more. Wyoming is north. Flat-ass Colorado is east, southeast, and northeast. More cities are to the south but if you're not hell bent on only driving two hours (what kind of pussy are you anyway?) you can find a lot of seclusion beyond them. Go forth and try not to be such an insufferable faggot everywhere you go.

You’re gonna see people wherever you go if only 2hrs from denver. Try medicine bow national forest in wyoming. I went there mid summer on a weekday and only drive past one other car. Had an entire campground by the river to myself.

One of my favorites in colorado is cirque meadows west of Fort Collins off the 14. Great ridge line hike with water the whole way and plenty of camping near a creek with amazing views. Push to emmaline lake if looking for more of a challenge. I camped in the area last week and snow was minimal. And not as many people this far north.

if it's that hard get alltrails and you'll see like 10k trails within a 5mil radius because you're in CO

I think my Evans was named Mt Blue sky. But actually if you start at the further trailheads In the area and don't bother going to the peak you may not see anyone.

There are definitely plenty of crowded trails in Wyoming generally speaking though it is less densely populated.
I used to drive up to Cheyenne for work from foco/Loveland to pour concrete at the capitol building and that city sucked. Reminded me of being In the southern united states. Cheap rent.

Tell me you aren't from Colorado without actually telling me. Regardless, Georgetown has some nice trails if you don't mind the cold this time of year.

idk if this is secluded enough for you, but go up to lookout mountain, head to the saddle parking lot, take the trail to the left. I have a pamphlet that says it is a trail to take at your own risk. Maybe won't have general ppl there.

A lot of the mountains are getting less traffic with the snow and cold. I bet you could do just fine picking a less traveled 14er that not a lot of people are going to be going to (La Plata is beautiful)
