Wasn't looking for a meter but got one of these for cheap.
Found two of my cameras were meterting a little slow, now I just compensate when using them.
Shooting landsaoes, the meter is not much good, but experiments at home and with near objects I was able to get a better understanding of how the meter in the camera works, or see things. Yep there are plenty of books and online articals on the how, but actually trying it in practice I lerant so much more quickly.
Don't use it much now, maybe for an indoor shoot, last was of artwork in a gallery. Have gotten a Pentax spot meter since, and that does get used a lot, need to do something about the mercury battery, that going to die soon.
