>>4292021>hurr ibis is youtuber takeCanon IBIS works. For stills it gives you the same capabilities on non-IS lenses that you have on IS lenses. Even better in the UWA to about 135mm range. (Past that OIS is superior.)
What if you have all IS lenses? IBIS boosts them by 1-2 stops, even on EF lenses. I've even seen this on OIS teles. It's less critical in this case because you already have 3-4 stops OIS correction, but it sure is nice to have.
For video? It's gimbal like, with regular or OIS lenses. A gimbal is still more capable. But with some practice you can get smooth takes without the gimbal.
I would absolutely recommend a Canon IBIS body over one without. IBIS is one of the reasons I went with the original R6 over the R8.
>>4292027>IBIS in footage looks severely unprofessional. Not sure what IBIS you're using. IBIS on the R6 can look as smooth as a gimbal. The only issue is corner wobble <26mm, which is kind of unavoidable given the nature of IBIS and the sensor movements. But at 24mm a slow pan doesn't ever really pickup wobble, it's the still takes that do. At 35mm? No, there's no corner wobble or smearing, it's gorgeous.
