Man, I knew people would be hyperbolic about this match because it's Omega and Ospreay at the Tokyo Dome, but I think this is still one of the best matches I've seen in.. years? Ever? I feel like it's recency bias, but this match is 35 minutes, and by the time it ends I feel it's almost 20 with how fast they're going. No wasted spots. Good selling on both guys just putting each other over big time. They put their bodies through dangerous shit but it sold how much these two dislike each other in storyline. The veteran violently beating down on the young boy. It just fucking worked so well. People do point out how it does have a clear face/heel dynamic, but I think the ending itself is something beautiful. What Kenny did was brutal, but he just wanted to put Ospreay down, something even his best friend Ibushi couldn't do. So him hitting the Golden Lover finishers is kind of touching.
