>>11379330>Study HarderNot really. They watch their shit, but they take spots and don't understand why those spots matter or why the original people did them. Then, it's hyped up by Excalibur as "A THROWBACK TO _____________" ruining the spot further because he's basically admitting both guys watched some shit together.
>entertainer orientedWhat? WWE is making money off its brand more than anything else. Shit, one of the slights on Russo was that he gave everyone a character even if they didn't need it or it didn't make sense. Back then, even midcarders were getting huge pops. As for AEW, most of it is irony shitposting that ends once the match starts.
>drink less, less drugs, less datesThis is fine and of the few good changes, but this is the same guy that used to seethe at WCW stars taking less dates and not working houseshows. The difference today is that none of these guys can sell them out anyway so the companies scaled back on them.
>open-minded to more stylesThis annoys me. WCW had an entire division based off people working different styles and doing their own thing. WWE Main Events are the same Walk and Talk brawls that we've seen since the Reign of Terror. NXT matches re basically Shawn vs Undertaker (without the history of two guys that have been there forever spamming finishes and it meaning more). AEW matches are all long as shit and slowly falling into the same, "muh drama" aspect that WWE mains are. This is 100% bullshit.
>Better conditionEh. Healthier? sure. But some guys (Cole) look straight up like shit.
>Ring PositioningThere are far more botches or obvious "Helping this guy with the spot" moves today than there ever was because these guys are wrestling for Twitter Gifs.
>InventedNot really. Destroyer is like the only thing.
>Crowds like match quality and less about standing and shortcuts. This contradicts the earlier point of them being entertainer-oriented. Fans will always take the spectacle over anything else.
cringe.
