Mindless blood and cuss words are not why that era was popular. It was having actual interesting story lines and people that can actually cut promos which is two thing AEW has never had.
The Rock segment is proof why blood shouldn't be overdone constantly like AEW does. It had actual meaning and got a reaction unlike when Moxley cuts himself every single match for no reason which real fans recognize as contrived and just laugh at how lame he is.
