He’s apparently really been struggling with therapy, there was talk of surgery but when they started doing some preliminary blood work they discovered Punk was suffering from FBS; also known as Fragile Body Syndrome. It’s a rare condition where the body cannot handle even the slightest physical exertion, usually found only in AIDS patients. Because of this, Punk has been advised to give up any physical activity in the ring going forward.
He’s expected to become a sort of ambassador to the WWE going forward as most of its fan base is also unable to perform any sort of physical activity.
