>>5976362Of course, lest we forget, these are MERELY THE QUALIFIERS! The real meat-and-potatoes of this tournament is yet to come. We have 24 portraits waiting in the wings, a few of which are essentially done, but most of which aren’t! Indonesian Gentlemen, our wonderful sponsoring artist (well, maybe not quite ‘sponsoring’, since we’re paying him, but he does a hell of a good job and sometimes does fun little free headshots!) figures he can do about four a week, which means the ACTUAL tournaments will take place in about a month and a half.
>Wait, we're getting art of everyone? We are! The GoFundMe is still open (
https://gofund.me/1acbccb0, shilll shill shill) but between what's already been donated and Anderson Thorell's independent donation, I've raised enough that I'm going to go ahead and pay the difference either way, so all our TOP TWENTY-FOUR get some rewards for their hard work.
(If anyone feels like donating still, it's appreciated, and if we pass the threshold I'll commission some extra stuff)
In the meantime, you may recall I’d mentioned the format: a ROUND ROBIN where EVERY queen will face off against EVERY OTHER, and likewise for our most majestic Princes of the Multiverse here! They won’t be fighting for the crown, though… or at least, not ONLY fighting! Every one of the 132 match-ups will be accompanied by a randomly-rolled ‘event’ to (maybe) inspire art and (definitely) inform who gets a 1d6 wildcard boost based on their relative aptitude as I interpret it (though arguments made by the voters can certainly sway this impressionable judge).
With that in mind, I am now taking SUGGESTIONS FOR EVENTS! Post ‘em if you got ‘em, and I’ll fill in what remains!
We've also had some discussion of a LOSER'S BRACKET. This might be a good time to discuss who, if anyone is running that, and how, and when, and if anyone's doing art commissions for that.
