"I would put that down if I was you." You try your best to keep a cool, composed tone to your voice. "This is a security audit from K-Corp. For now, you have passed your job. You have noticed us arriving and you noticed us cheating. Good job so far."
Marla lowers her rifle by only an inch, she clearly doesn't trust what you're saying. "Dost thou take me for a fool? Y'all taking the piss?" If you weren't on your meds, you would absolutely feel the urge to implode her head with your telekinesis.
"She's not bullshitting you," Ashley speaks up. "You passed but we found an employee of yours who fucked up hard. You know how we were playing that blackjack game?" Ashley nods her head at you. <<span class="mu-b">"I know you can hear this. Hand me one of those pills."</span>> You flinch at what you heard. <<span class="mu-b">"Heh. Wasn't sure until now. Gotcha, bitch."</span>>
You definitely have to ask her about this later but for now, you sneakily hand her a pill. She promptly shows the jet black pill to Marla. "He bought this from one of our confidential agents. Benjamin?"
Benjamin clear his throat before he begins rambling to Marla, "This is a very potent psychoactive discounted by Z-Corp. It's illegal in about 12 out of the 26 active districts here. Needless to say, having someone willing to purchase this in your casino is a bad sign."
"That's not all," You speak up right after he's done talking. "He rigged the deck in an attempt to scam us out of our money."
Marla fully lowers her rifle now. All of the blood has drained from her face. "Okay, hold on," You notice that stupid accent she was putting on is gone now. "He rigged it? You do realize how bold of an accusation that is, right? Do you have any proof?"
"Yeah. We played against him to check how fair your games were." You take a moment to think of a good way to recount your story. "We noticed there was a weird pattern to his cards. At the start, they were all insanely low. 10s and 11s."
"Then," Ashley continues right after you. "All of them became stupidly high. 18s, 19s, 20s. This wouldn't be weird but they only ramped it right as we started betting more."
"That would be possible if he had a second hidden deck." Benjamin adds. "While everyone uses the normal deck, he would use a special one with nothing but high cards."
"Considering the track record he has?" Your smile stretches from ear to ear. "I don't think your friend is all that trustworthy."
>20! SUCCESS!
"That SON OF A BITCH!" Marla quickly raises her rifle back up but it's obvious she doesn't plan on using it on you. "After everything Clover did to make this place fair? Everything's supposed to be done ABOVE BOARD! LEGAL! Yet we have people UNDERMINDING THAT?!" Weird, if it's all meant to be above board, then why is the Handler's money being stolen?
Max seems to clue in on this, "This includes more than the dealers, right? Your bosses wouldn't happen to be stealing from anyone, right?"
