It doesn't add a considerable amount of time for me since I'm already so familiar with the system. Since you have manuals you really don't need to go through the process of manually inputting everything into a list just to run the set-building calculation. If you only need to sort out the pieces to actually find them in-hand, then the difference in inventory system between Bricklink and Rebrickable is trivial. At that point you can even just use the inventory in the back of the manual.
