How the fuck do people in reference books and tutorials get pigments to adhere to their model and show up so well vs when I try to do it they either just refuse to adhere and have little effect or if I use white spirits like they do sometimes it just turns them into regular paint.
It's maddening, I've seen tutorials where they just rub them on straight and streak them with a damp fan brush and it makes perfect streaks but I can't replicate anything close to that using the exact same stuff.
