Orange dude has Cod Belt and thigs, but a normal spartan torso, yet he's taller than the Blue guy who additionally has the CoD torso because the older style head has more space for the peg inside.
Also Destiny uses CoD scale so you can just use a black CoD undersuit. There is no differenne between Halo scale and CoD scale if we talk "free-range" articulation, I'd even say CoD is worse because they have longer forearms and they're a pain to pose with, on the other hand longer thighs are nice for crouching. You also have to keep in mind that CoD thighs are too thick for Spartan armor pieces, so you'll have to make a few cuts with a knife.
