>>80669724H offered their army builder troopers for $30 on their kickstarter.
A lot less paint than your typical Acid Rain figure.
A lot less articulation than your typical Acid Rain figure.
Re-re-reused body, while Acid Rain figures are almost all uniquely tooled.
If you want to buy Mythic Legion builder at $30, you need to buy it only on their Kickstarters or preordered at $22 through 4H's store.
Acid Rain figures don't need to be preordered and are sold in many collector stores, including the distributor, for $30 or less.
To buy a Mythic Legion builder after the fact through a normal collect store, the figure costs $40.
This means that the wholesale on Acid Rain figures is a whole lot less, probably $15. Wholesale on the Mythic Legion figure is $30-22 (depending on where you bought it), because it's direct to consumers and the fact that BBTS charges $40 for them (stores usually price toys 2x the wholesale cost).
Then you take into account that Acid Rain figures are sold to raise capital for the next figure. So the wholesale price itself is inflated to support the company in future endeavors, so the actual cost is even less.
Whereas each wave of Mythic Legion figures are built to order and only need to pay for itself.
Nevermind that there are other collector companies who sell 1:18 figures with complex paint and engineering for ~$20 like Hiya Toys, which is a lot less than Ori Toys or Toy Joy charges for theirs. And this is $20 for LICENSED toys, so their costs are higher than Ori Toys and Joy Toy.
So again, it shows that 4H was full of shit and why i doubt Hasbro said what that guy believes.
