>>8934865I'm a Bong so I was more into knights than cowboys, the issue I see is there is just a complete lack of good children's toys and media depicting knights. Lego has been the only consistent medieval toy, and even their themes petered off around the early 2010's with Kingdoms. There's no good movies with knights aside from bargain bin kids crap, all the medieval tv shows and movies are aimed at adults (GoT, Kingdom of Heaven, Ridley Scott's Robin Hood, that weird Roman King Arthur movie, Knightfall), and all the video gams are aimed at teens and older like Mordhau, Chivalry, Dark Souls, etc. Really young kids get into stuff like Star Wars to fight with swords so they get hooked on sci-fi fantasy rather than low medieval fantasy.
Also, health and safety. My parents were awesome and took me to castles to run around and fight my brothers with wooden swords and bows with rubber tipped arrows, most parents I know would never do that because one of their kids could lose an eye or break a tooth, better to pacify them with an iPad or whatever.
