Most people selling overstock have the cheapest / lowest prices for the part which makes sense as they don't care and have so many. Reasonable prices are fine.
legos action on bricklink proves they don't care about overstock - meanwhile, they've cracked down on anyone selling unofficial / unauthorized prints like the pircrel trans minifigs, you can't buy them on BL anymore.
But, the overstock sellers remain. I think it's a good thing to have rare, niche parts at affordable prices, just the moral grey area of acquisition is all.
Either way, I buy their stuff, avoid the overpriced scalpers, and am happier (and poorer) for their existence.
