There's a few small changes to the way straights are laid out, but the biggest change is with the curve leaving the NW point of the four-way turnout. By swapping the 315mm curve that was there with the final 491mm curve, it allows you to avoid buying the second pack of 64mm straights.
I know, it's not much. barely anything, really. But I figure, why buy if you don't need to? If you're buying your track from Trainworld, that's about 8$ you're saving: that 8$ could buy you a piece of rolling stock instead if you find a good deal on ebay or at a train show.
