A few threads ago, I posted asking if anyone had some of the colors of BrickForge Spartan armor for sale or trade.
An anon said he had a sand green he may be willing to sell but I didn't see to reply til a day later.
Anon, if you are here, I am quite interested in buying the sand green from you if it's the original version of sand green.
And if anyone else happens to have any, I am looking for: Old sand green, old dark gray, light tan, dark blue, green, and trans clear.

As a kid I remember it being next level kind of mysterious. But that’s about it. There’s a whole story about them and tons of “lore” but I could care less. I see why they are split I think I have at least 1-2 bionic legs floating around in my loose pieces bins (disassembled). But I can’t remember ever using the parts for anything that wasn’t a mech. The cross technic piece and ball-joint are the only things that connect to legos anyway, right?

Boncle fucked up their brand consistency big time. They were on the right track with having the original Toa as a recognizable super hero team and a consistent cast of characters, but they had keep making ugly redesigns and new teams of Toa. That's what turned the franchise into a clusterfuck of nearly identical teams of robot characters with incomprehensibly autistic lore.

Built the Zane ninja titan mech and absolutely loved it. Are there any other lego mechs with articulated knees? Really liked the look of the monkie king mech but its knees are static, which seems a bit shit for £100

For the former, I assume it's because white paint on top of literally any other colour looks off, and it would be too noticeable right on top of the white legs. I dunno about the latter though. Maybe they wanted the top of the shoulders to be yellow?

I finally saw Indy 5 and now I'm even more baffled than before that there are no official sets for the movie. Bring back the theme because there's a new movie coming out, but... don't release any sets based on the new movie?? I don't believe anyone who says "erm well Lego saw the test screening and saw it was shit and knew it would flop". The film wasn't bad by any means, and certainly wasn't so terrible that a TLG suit would think that no one would want to buy any product associated with it.

I also disagree with that anon who was saying that there aren't any good scenes to adapt into Lego sets, because I can think of several:
>Nazi train
Not the whole train, probably just one or two cars that can open up to play out all the scenes leading up to the fight on the roof. Could also include the stolen motorcycle Indy was riding, with a play feature to separate the sidecar like in the movie.
>Parade chase
Include Indy on the horse and the bad guys in the parade car they stole. Would make for a great value set and it's probably the most memorable visual from the trailers.
>Tuk tuk chase
Pretty self-explanatory, would include the vehicles and some bazaar stands to knock over.
>Underwater ruins
Could be something similar to the upcoming City subtheme, where you have Antonio Banderas' boat and a piece of the underwater ruins. Could also just be the ruins if they don't think people will want to pay for the boat (I would though).
>Archimedes tomb
This seems like the most obvious one since it's classic Indy tomb raiding with traps and puzzles that could easily be turned into fun play features.
>Plane chase climax
Maybe Lego wouldn't want to do a huge Nazi plane, but they could still have the smaller one. And (spoilers if you care) they could even have one of the Roman warships and minifig of Archimedes himself.

idk man. Just seems weird that they'd bring the theme back only for 3 sets from 2 of the 5 movies, I just wonder wtf is going on over there

The set is not good. It feels more like a random Cantina set rather than the Palace because it's missing several iconic features. There is no basement/rancor pit, so the random gate on the "floor" feels stupid and like a half-assed attempt at representing it. And worse yet, the roof section is missing the distinctive dome that the building is known for.
I got mine for $60 at Costco like a year ago and I don't regret it, considering it DOES have decent figs and some nice parts. Overall I would recommend staying away from it unless you're a hardcore SWfag, even at that price.

I got it for $60 or $70 off ebay like a year ago or something. It's good if you wanna MOC a custom palace by buying the dome roof pieces off bricklink. I was very happy with my MOC but I tore it down when I moved. All the figures are pretty good except the pink hair girl. I think 1 more pig guard would have been better. Buying two sets will make an even bigger MOC, cus it you see how it look from the back it looks like a miniature. Also the meat BBQ spit roast thingy is cute.

I have this set. And as an actual truck driver I love the design. It's a bit long but it needs to be to have a proper sleeper bunk. Just made one small modification by taking one of those 1x2 pieces that folds at 90 degrees with another 1x2 and stuck that in the middle of the dashboard. Then stuck this radio piece on because trust me, without a radio most drivers would lose their minds in less than a day. Any more I actually have SiriusXM through my phone but it is plugged into the radio so I can hear it through the truck speakers.

Yes! There is no official Lego store in my corner of the country, so no PAB wall unless you are willing to drive for 4 hours. However, for 7.50 Harry the Toymeister hands you a faded grimy cup and grants you the privilege to dig through his large collection of used Lego bins he keeps in his attic. You never know what delights you'll uncover, and he's always adding new buckets to his collection too. I have found some real treasures before, up in the old toy cube.

I guess that's possible, but Hasbro released a couple figures based on the new movie coinciding with its release. And similarly to Lego, they released toys based on the classic films a couple months before the movie came out. Action figures take several months to develop just like Lego sets do, so I find it hard to believe that toy designers weren't allowed to see it in advance. I'm still not ruling out fuckery from the Mouse though, since they "asked" Lego to change the name of the Slave I and there's an indication that they got the Temple of Doom set cancelled too.

Not likely the case at all, since there's even more of that in the other films, and even one of the new sets has a nazi plane and a historically accurate nazi pilot. Even if that were a problem, there are plenty of scenes in Indy 5 that don't involve any of those things (I already listed several).

I kind of disagree a little on the building sets. Some instructions seem like they are intentionally designed to keep you in the dark on the building process. Like, back in the 90s it was usually very straight forward "this is the cockpit we're building and working up the vehicle from there" and since 2015-ish I've seen a lot of "we're building this piece and flipping it around a lot and actually when you started it was the cockpit for the vehicle but we were showing it upside-down and backwards in the instructions and only showing you the proper view of it now that it is finished"

To be honest, in retrospect it's the worst space theme. The ships and builds were all flimsy as fuck, open cockpits, it was just a travesty, especially this thing. It would fall apart it was so fucking fragile. Too many pieces sticking out and whatnot that would just fall off when playing with it.

LEGO abandoned their long-held balance between the representation of an idea (be it a plane, spaceship, house, etc) and its effectiveness as a building block toy (its interchangeability and usefulness of each piece). Despite the decades of "progress" (by progress I mean the evolution and addition of new pieces to the palate with which a LEGO set could represent an idea), LEGO sets could still effectively and soulfully execute the user's intention to manifest their idea into a model they could play with. This was achieved by relying on the simplicity of LEGO pieces; LEGO was simple and abstract by design, so as to leverage the user's imagination, rather than attempt to be a perfect model of an idea. I would argue that LEGO once had an art style, insofar that in trying to represent something specific (like an animal), it would be simplified to the point that it could fit in with the abstract, rectilinear world of LEGO. At some point in the past decade or two, this art style, and the balance that it built upon, was discarded in favour for literalism and hyper-intricacy, a direction that is inherently anti-imagination and anti-play.
