I'm hoping we get Star Fox sets, since Lego seems to be licensing Nintendo franchises. There's plenty of spaceships for Lego to make, and we could get minifigures of furry waifus like Krystal, Fay, Katt and Miyu.

They used Ninjago-style big messy brick build guns for Overwatch, so probably the same for Fortnite.

I'm curious which characters they'll use.

Fortnite has some pretty "sexy" skins but we'll get the most "woke" (for lack of a better term) versions for sure. Anybody want to place odds on "not a single straight white guy type of figure"?

lack of creativity is cringe and increases the risk of early onset dementia. They're handy for making part packs for the kiddos I counsel or when I want to take a few pieces on a business trip. The lid being a whole container on its own is very useful. It's honestly fine they got locked behind such a shit theme because I can't see any other reason why a container like these should exist. So I'm glad they happened, but glad they died.

No I keep my anon status to myself. I let some shitpost-type stuff leak out just because they click with it. Basically I teach fatherless boys how to be a man without becoming a gigachud. Building shit, teamwork, work ethic, making friends, hurling bantz, etc. Lego is unironically a huge tool for emotional processing, developing spatial skills, and roleplay. There's a reason it's used in education in districts that can afford it.

The only party getting full price for these is TLG after selling them to a retailer as inventory. Every other situation where you're not tearing open the package first or stealing them is an exercise in loss. The second the product has been taken out of its manipulative purchasing environment it instantly drops to a much more honest market value. Just open it and sell it for what it is. If you're lucky, you'll get the one figure per wave that sells for higher. Nobody is going to pay you MSRP for the privilege of rolling shit gacha, esp. when they're still on walmart shelves free for the pocketing

There may be a ton of sets and a ton of especially elaborate sets at that but they're grossly overpriced and getting worse by the year. The actual sets that come out don't usually reflect the shit the fans have actually been asking for at all, the continued output by Disney of new content means that sets people have wanted for ages get pushed further and further off to the sidelines in favor of capturing whatever the new thing is. The quality of the actual sets themselves is generally below the standards of other themes often by a wide margin, likely to do with LEGO pinching pennies as the license gets more and more expensive and even the minifigures seem to get shittier as time goes on.

Not that anon but various important things and characters that Star Wars fans have been clamoring for are constantly have-assed by Lego. Take for instance the canonically inaccurate armor design found in the latest gunship troopers. Or the pathetically lazy darksaber that was a regular bar instead of a new mold. Or the new Rex figure that has a lazily printed kama instead of a real one like they did even back in 2008. I can go on and on.
Mind you all of these sets are insanely expensive and let's face it, the characters are the draw for most Star Wars fans and Lego can't even get them right half the time. Meanwhile, Ninjago gets like 20 new molds every season and lets not forget about CMFs and other thing like Vidiyo that get even more new molds.

I got two of these air-pressure slammer racers where the arm blows into and made them into like a doom mancubus/t-rex cyborg thing despite it mostly being intended for just it's one purpose

This basic example applies all over the place. Lots of kids esp. boys get fucked up because they aren't allowed to or aren't taught how to move past their initial reflexive responses or end up with maladaptive results. They end up not developing the skill to consciously scrutinize their responses later or form a healthy worldview based on positive experiences.

I use Lego as a physical metaphor for abstract concepts like sharing, permanence/impermanence, imagination space versus physical space, etc. It's not something they notice on a clinical level, considering half these chaps aren't even thinking about what I'm actually doing there.

That doesn't mean they won't do it.
Lego's actual rules for what they deem inappropriate and what they do/don't allow on Ideas are two different things. They're a lot more stricter on Idea's because it's user submitted and if they didn't go hard on not allowing things like Fortnite, they'd probably be flooded with a bunch of poorly built LDD Fortnite sets submitted by under-age tards.

Well given how many viking and knights and Lord of The Rings and Dungeons and Dragons stuff that has been released or announced, I was hoping for an Elder Scrolls line of Lego sets, ideally based on Skyrim. There's a lot of potential for good sets. Dragons, Draugr in old tombs, Falmer in Dwemer ruins, The Forsworn and Hagravens, the Dark Brotherhood, Tribal Orc Villages, the Companions, the Dawnsgaurd, etc etc. Lego could make several lines of sets from just the one game.

I mix of the old style, but with the updates of 2018. Harry Potter has been the best licensed theme in awhile, not only did we get great remakes off old sets, but new minifigures and sets we've never gotten before.

DBZ is probably one of the most popular things to come out of Japan. Goku is practically a household name at this point. Dragon Ball has alot of interesting designs that could be used for lego sets. The mini figures would quickly become desired because the characters in Dragon Ball are so iconic. A lego super saiyan Goku would have alot of people foaming out the mouth.

Let's say for instance that I have ten sets that I paid an average of $100 each for, making $1000 in total. If I were to mix and mash those ten sets into a disheveled pile, it would now be worth maybe $300 as a mixed lot, despite being the exact same pieces.

I don't need more at the moment. Eventhough I think the sets are great, it feels like LEGO is oversaturating the market with Mario, Sonic and Animal Crossing. But it's also clever since you have year of material to make sets out of. So it's a though question. I hear ya. I still play that game today on Steam because it's just so much fun driving around the city, looking for stuff, and just generally causing havoc. I used to dream of what a Lego City Undercover blindbag series would look like. Mainly to get Rex Fury, Frank Honey, Ellie, and Chase in a criminal outfit.
When playing the 3DS game before the Wii U version was ported I would keep playing after beating the story but under my own headcanon story. Chase after being shipped out is scooped up by the Ultra Agents and brought back to Lego City. But now he wears the magician tux with an eye mask, so no one recognizes him. He is now "Chase: International Man of Mystery." Plus I put the robot minifig in the civilian spot to be his assistant who runs back to the precinct to do errands for Chase. So I always wanted a Chase face with the burglar mask to make that minifig real.

Also honestly I also really wish we had gotten Chase in the pimp outfit just because it's amusing.

Pikimin, would be similar to Elves or Avatar in that they are based around building organical creatures and nature. Each set would have pieces of the Dolphin so if you get the entire wave you can complete the ship. Olimar would be a minifigure with a special head and midlegs, Pikimin would use the Dreamzzz's creatures bodies with an somewhat alterated minifig head (red ones would use the Pinocchio head for example) except Purples that would be minifigs with short legs

The only good licensed themes are Star Wars and Harry Potter. They're the oldest, going so far back as to even have yellow faces, and at this point are an integral part of Lego's identity. Not to mention they're respective universes lend themselves well to the world of brick building. The other slop can die though.

Checked and I'll argue that Prince of Persia and The Lone Ranger were pretty decent. The former gave us a Middle Eastern theme independent of The Adventurers' Egypt theme. Prince of Persia is actually a super cool theme. All of the terrain is covered in snot bricks so you can all the parkour and stuff from the movie and game it's based off of. To start, I hope this 2nd wave includes a brick-built Omega in a set so we can have Team Dark done in one wave along with Team Sonic.

For a 3rd wave, Metal Sonic would be a good character to fuel continued success for the theme. Though, if a 3rd wave also gets 3 characters as minifigs, I wouldn't know who else to include. Silver seems like a safe bet since despite his origins, the comics and being Trunks the Hedgehog keeps his popularity/relevancy afloat. If TLG insist on having a new female character per wave, then Cream might make the cut. I could see Blaze instead, and I'd be good with her, but her fans always seem to have to put in work to have her be noticed. Meanwhile, Silver actually got to be in Generations and Forces.

The war was shown in Khartoum and every version of The Four Feathers. The camels can be used for either Colonel Hicks' supply train or the mounted units on both sides at Abu Klea. As for the hat piece, you're absolutely correct. There are redcoat and tan coat customs you can get online, too (it was the last campaign that red was used and the first that khaki was used).

I got the jay titan mech recently since it was on clearance for like $32. It’s neat, but I really hate how shit the leg articulation is. I vastly prefer the Zane mech, despite the Jay one looking cooler. Still, I’d love to see more titan mechs down the line, these are fun, and it’s nice to have actually posable mechs for once instead of the shitty, small scale ones

Picked it up recently too and yeah what the hell is up with the ankles and hips? Sure they gave him knees, but you can barely do anything other than stand him up straight.

I heard this shit was canned but it looks like they're going minifig scale.
Will they keep the enemies in the same scale or are we about to see a bunch of wacky specific moulds for goombas etc?

the ankles would be forgivable if his hips could actually move. Like you said, you can’t really do dynamic poses with him because of this. I like the look of it, but it’s really siding with form over function.
