I wasn't even a teen when this first wave came out in 2010, and even then it was glaringly clear to me, that these aren't your usual minifigs. These had weird plastic, cheap prints. Almost felt like knock-offs, especially with how many new molds were introduced. Looking back with the knowledge, how they were made, it is truly disgraceful how this was just a sign of what was to come. Instead of fixing the quality issues in CMFs, all other lego sets diluted in quality to be CMF-trash-tier.

It's so full of imagination compared to current series where everything looks like its from 1 game

Picrelated is my forever favorite - it's an example of harmony between "cute/girly" and "badass cool" ideas in the same series.
While OP's minifigure collection tries too hard to be all "safe and PINK".

They could at least fucking make an evil Alien-monster. but even the monster one is a vegetarian. fuck this

minifigures are a substitution for people's lack of creativity. They turned lego into a collector toy line instead of a creative toy line. When I was a kid we would take apart every mini figure and rebuild them how we wanted. Even the arms would would take off. Now lego fans are a bunch of adults who buy these to put into glass cases. Why don't people get into painting models or collecting action figures if that's all they want? Minifigures are not impressive as toys or displays. I think they look ugly as hell anywhere outside of a lego model.

Set Name = Knights Procession 677 and 6077

Piece Count = 48

Year Released = 1979 and 1981

The first set non- army building set (hooray), released twice (possibly one date for Europe and one for America, correct me if I am wrong), and as we can see the set is rather nice. The minifigs in this set are printed and unique only to this set (excluding the service pack) and it is the first time that we see the closed variation of the helm, which was also only available for this theme in this set.

The six figs in the set are very nice and there is an ample supply of weaponry, though personally I am not 100% convinced by the quality of the actual cart itself, the tires are woefully inaccurate and the supplies are just a random assortment of bricks. But still this is LEGO in its infant stage; they were learning at the time and as such can be forgiven for the flaws, the picture of all the extra stuff that can be built with the set is brilliant and shows that there was a degree of forethought within all their products.

Is Lego City Space a Rock Raiders prequel? It looks like the humans are mining an exploded planet for power crystals.
I think it goes Power Miners (humans discover the power crystals on Earth deep underground) to Lego City (humans go up into space for the first time and find space is rich with power crystals, space mining is pioneered) and finally Rock Raiders (Donning uniform similar to the old Power Miners in tribute, the Rock Raiders mine for energy crystals on an asteroid. Mining for energy crystals has been well established by this point)

Set Name = Knights Tournament 386 and 6083

Piece Count = 213

Year Released = 1979 and 1981

The Knights Tournament is my personal favourite set from this era, and that is due to one reason, the inclusion of the civilian figs, I remember when I was at school (at about the age of 10 or 12) my art teacher had this exact set glued upside down to the ceiling in his classroom (weird but true). Even in these very early sets, you can see that LEGO had a clear view to include civilians alongside the knights (after all what’s the point in being a good knight if you have no one to defend).

This set is very colourful but it works well, the red and white roof, fits perfectly with the blue wall and yellow seats, everything is combined well, and the attention to detail is fantastic, the blue cups for the spectators, the tree and the barding for the horse’s are all completely new to the castle theme at the time.

It should be noted that the female’s hair is an extremely rare piece (and even rarer due to its colour) and all the figs are unique to this set (excluding the service pack again), put simply if you own this set you have some very nice collector’s items. Again the alternative models for the set show that there was a lot of versatility in these old sets, something sadly lacking in the modern ones.

If I had one flaw with the set it would be the fact that the printing on the figs (and flag) do not fit with the Castle set, it would have been nice to have the same faction owning the Castle and the Tournament, still that is a minor flaw in something that was very original (at the time).

Is Lego going to make another season of Lego Friends: The Next Generation? It's been over a year year since the previous season and Lego haven't announced anything and seem to be putting all their eggs into the Ninjago Dragons Rising season 2 basket.

Putting women in places they historically would not have been isn't much of an issue in my opinion. Unless it's a set that's supposed to represent a real historical event, there's room for making shit up.

It's the corporate efforts to spread lies about sexuality, "diversity", and climate change to children and to our society at large that are the problem. They do this through social media and the way they run their company more than they do it through the actual product (but it does happen through the actual product some).

This is why I avoid new kits but still try to add vintage ones every now and then and keep kits from childhood on display too. The occasional new thing will sneak in as a gift or I might pick something newer up secondhand if it's really cool. But we really should all be trying to avoid buying new Lego. They are evil.

I like that they are making bigger city sets. I like some of the parts like the solar dishes and lot's of windows. However the most popular home style in the American market for example is a ranch style home. The modern homes that lego puts out, just isn't popular outside of the west coast for the most part. Lego creator and city lines need more suburb and rural style homes.

Lego VIP points are a fucking scam. They take them from you and you never get to spend them. They took 6838 points I had saved up years ago. I came back and earned some more points in 2022. They then now have deleted all my points yet again. That's twice Lego has fucked me on my points. I've never been able to use a single one of my points.
