As said in an early post, I expected that thing to be a wobbly mess but it's actually pretty damn sturdy.
Sure, the whole concept and execution of a giant brick-built combiner made from smaller mechs that can ALSO transform into vehicles with (almost) no partsforming and switching still feels like the work of a total madman but damn, was it worth it.
I absolutely love the helmet, especially the pretty clever building technique for the chinguard that results in some awesome shaping.
There's still some stuff I didn't like, though.
Just like with Lego, clip pieces are made from stiff plastic like almost everything else so those might crack over time due to stress unless I may slightly sand them.
One or two pieces didn't have particularly high clutch power but at almost 1000 pieces that's nothing to write home about, especially since both also had spare versions that worked properly.
A few areas on the separate mechs are also kinda iffy design-wise, especially the motorbike one that makes up the right arm which feels like as if they forgot to add four small Technic bushings on the wheel fork.
And finally, the kibble on the leg robots is pretty annoying to pose when combined.
Still, for the 25 bucks/ 30 with shipping I paid it's a nobrainer and I could easily see this going for 70+ if it was done by Lego.
